Christine was the daughter of Neils Christensen and Maren Petersen Christensen. On January 1, 1922 she was married to William "Bill" McKinley Sorensen, son of Jens Christian Sorensen and Ane Madsen Sorensen. Supposedly the marriage was initially kept secret because she was a school teacher in a country school in Howard County - school teachers were not supposed to be married.
She died suddenly in September 1922 after undergoing surgery for a goiter/thyroid condition. The funeral from her mother's home was one of the most largely attended in that neighborhood.
