Ester Marie (Bollesen) Westling of St. Louis, Missouri, was born December 23, 1927, in Tyler, Minnesota, to Jens and Karen (Hansen) Bollesen, and entered into rest August 24, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri, at the age of 85.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Lisa Westling Greve, and three siblings, Kai Bollesen, Agnete Fredrickson and Herdis Struss.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bruce, two children, Robert and Donna; two siblings, Ellen and Leif; and two grandchildren, Kandice and Zachary.
Ester taught nursery school in the early years of her marriage, and enjoyed camping, fishing, card games, and crossword puzzles. She took great pride in her Danish heritage and passed many traditions down to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed Cardinals baseball, and watching and feeding the many birds that came to her back yard.
