Donald and Alyce were married while Donald was still in the U.S.Navy in World War II. He worked as a tool maker for the John Deere Co. in Waterloo, Iowa, for 26 years.
After retiring, Don and Alyce moved to De Soto, Wisconsin in 1981, where they have a home on the Mississippi River. ³¹⁴⁸
