Most of Chuck's working career was spent at Grass Creek, Wyo. He worked for Marathon Oil which he retired from. After retiring. Chuck drove a school bus for the Children's Center. He loved all the students and they loved him.

Chuck and Betty were avid campers. They loved the mountains especially the Big Horns and camped every chance they got. Chuck also loved to hunt and fish. He loved horses and had them most of his life and rode as often as he could. As a young teenager Chuck worked for the Double Diamond Ranch near Dubois as an outfitters/wrangler.
