Martin J. Odde, Jr., 64, died Dec. 30, 1988, at his home in Thermopolis.
He was born in Thermopolis March 15, 1924, to Martin J. and Anna Marie Sorensen Odde. He served during World War II in China, Burma and India.
He maried Reba Nadine Collins Jan. 13, 1951 in Worland. He worked as a heavy equiment operator for local contractors until retiring because of ill health.
He was a member of the Thermopolis Gun Club and VFW #2281 and an avid shooting and fishing enthusiast.
He is survived by a son, Michael, of Douglas; three brothers, Harold of Shoshoni and Norris and George of Thermopolis; on sister, Lillian Dockery of Troy, Mont.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Nels, James and Richard; and a sister, Thelma Woody.
Funeral services were held Jan. 2 at Mortimore Funeral Home with Pastor Pat Riley officiating. Burial was at Monument Hill Cemetery.
Memorial may be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
