ORD - Soren H. Sorensen, 89, of Ord died Monday at an Ord hospital. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Ord Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. David Marsh officiating. Burial will be in Ord Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Heart Fund.
Mr. Sorensen was born June 26, 1887, at Ord to Nels and Johanna Jorgensen Sorensen. He attended Valley County schools and spent several summers in Canada on threshing crews. He farmed near Ord and recently had been a resident of an Ord nursing home.
Survivors include a brother, Albert of Grand Island, and three sisters, Mrs. Esther Sorensen (sic) of Northglenn, Colo.; Mrs. Ida Roman of Grand Junction, Colo., and Mrs. Lillian Stewart of Hemet, Calif. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
